TredSpeed Promos, with Raye.

Promo shots for mu husband's auto-shop. The model was a friend of mine in junior high before she moved to Vegas, and has since grown into a glamorous diva. It was great to see her after the better part of a decade, especially after watching her grow as a model and her watching me grow as a photographer!

I was trying to veer away from the played out bent-over-in-a-bikini kinda of car shoot, and even those that I've found that were staged like a babe was working on stuff...well, they were done pretty blandly (and badly!) So...an attempt! We're working on a calendar for the shop, so there will be more where these came from. This first shoot won't be included in that however since the calendar will feature strictly Datsuns.

Designs by Erandeny Torres.

I'm finally REALLY digging into the photos from this shoot. I have literally thousands of photos waiting to be edited and sent out, and I can't even begin to book anything new until these are all finished. Fashion shoots are really hitting the spot lately, and I think that's the real direction I want to pursue for now. The boring stuff (that I never post) brings in the dough, but it isn't nearly as fulfilling. I keep meaning to take some self-portraits, but every time I start to pull my equipment out I lose the urge. Maybe I need to pull a Nike and "just do it." Lose the lights, lose the fancy lenses, stop over thinking and just shoot. The above photos were shot in all natural light and were an excellent reminder of how beautiful it is. The strobes could use a vacation.

Compassion in Action--Designs by Erandeny Torres

Erandeny Torres is by far one of the most creative individuals I have ever met, every ounce of this woman is raw, unadulterated talent. I have worked with her as a makeup artist and designer for coming up on a year, and she never fails to surprise and inspire. The dress in the first and third shots posted here was inspired by the eathquake in Haiti and the effort both by the Red Cross and Haitians themselves to lend helping hands to one another. The dress recently won 2nd place (as well as the popular vote by a huge margin) in the "Art to Wear" competition sponsored by the American Red Cross. Jenny.

This girl is crazy! It was already in the 30s (and around 10 p.m.) when we were shooting these, but being only 3 blocks from Lake Eerie in Cleveland, OH and battered by the wind coming off the water dropped the temperature at least to the 20s. Still, this gal wanted to model outside in her flirty summer dress, so I bundled up in 3 coats, a scarf, a hat, and a hood, and out we went!

Katrina, Cocoa Jeans.

These didn't make the cut but were still quite the experience to shoot. I couldn't see a thing through my viewfinder or on my LCD and my model could barely keep her eyes open because of the excessive chlorine. What a night! Can't wait to try more underwater photography though.
